Envision Consulting Hosts Third Nonprofit Board Matchmaking Mixer

    December 15, 2016

Envision Consulting, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit consulting firm, are hosting their third nonprofit Board Matchmaking Mixer on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm in Pasadena, CA.

The mixer offers nonprofits and various professionals the opportunity to meet, learn about each other’s passions and interests, who the organizations serve and explain the interest in serving on Boards. The informal arrangement of the evening allows participants to be themselves and opens the dialogue to ask questions you may not be able to have the typical interview setting.

“We’re delighted to host our highly successful Board matchmaking mixer again in Pasadena,” says Partner Matt Kamin. “We invite any Pasadena-based nonprofit looking for new Board members and any professionals who want to be more involved in their community and truly make an impact in the lives of others to come and enjoy great conversation and appetizers.”

On average, Envision’s nonprofit Board matchmaking mixer generates about one to three Board members for five nonprofit organizations.

Nonprofits who are in a growth mode, have Board members cycling out of their term and have an annual operating budget of at least $500,000 are welcome to apply for participation. Professionals who are interested in serving on a Board should have the capacity to give and willingness to solicit family and friends for donations.

“We pride ourselves on the work that we do for the nonprofits in our community,” adds Partner Allison Fuller. “Providing nonprofits and professionals a forum to match their passion and capacities is always fulfilling.”

Event partners include Bolton Insurance, Missionwell and DailyKarma.

Dr. Michael has a breadth of experience working with the homeless veteran population. She has dedicated her multiple degrees to better serving this population by being an advocate and forging relationships with the Department of Mental Health and Veteran’s Association. She is well versed in clinical support, operations and has direct experience as a clinician. In her previous roles, she has been responsible for tracking outcomes for all clinical programs, manage the clinical department and implement relevant clinical-based case management processes, in addition to managing staff and administering grants.

“Susan’s extensive experience in clinical psychology especially working with the veteran population is exactly what we were looking for,” says Executive Director and CEO Yvette Kelley. “She is a great asset to have on the team and we’re excited to bring her on board.”

New President and CEO Yvette Kelley and the Board of Directors were tasked with finding an experienced and innovative CPO who could transform and strengthen New Directions for Veterans, award-winning program serving vets. They succeeded in placing Susan.

“I’m pleased to offer my skill set to New Directions,” says Dr. Michael. “Coming from an organization that serves veterans in need, I truly understand this population and commit New Directions to doing whatever it takes to get them back on their feet.”
