Los Angeles-based nonprofit consulting and executive search firm, Envision Consulting is thrilled to announce it’s opening an office in New York City. The expansion, helmed by Vice President, Suzanne Elliott, positions Envision to enhance their work with nonprofits on the East Coast.
An East Coast native, Ms. Elliott is excited to return to the Big Apple where she worked for more than a decade as a senior nonprofit executive and received her MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
“The move to New York is a natural progression for our growing company,” said Elliott, referencing how Envision has doubled in size in 2019. “This year, in addition to the dozens of nonprofits we’ve worked with on the West Coast, we’ve also supported local and national organizations based in greater NYC such as Abraham Lincoln Brigade Archives at NYU, Artists Striving to End Poverty, and Reeves-Reed Arboretum.”
Home to over 35,000 nonprofits employing over 600,000 people, New York City hosts a thriving nonprofit community, making it an ideal place for the expanding consulting firm to grow outside of Los Angeles. Envision is offering their full range of services from this new office: executive and supported search, organizational strategy and leadership development.
Company Co-Founder Matt Kamin, with deep ties to New York as a former executive director of PERC homeless shelter in Hudson County, is equally confident about the expansion. “We have a tremendous opportunity to make a real impact in New York and beyond by leveraging our expertise to partner with some of the leading nonprofits in the country in making important advancements in their organizations.”

Los Angeles, CA – Conga Kids, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit offering an arts in education program through partner-dance to promote social and emotional wellness, is proud to announce the appointment of Natalie Marrero as their incoming Executive Director.
“On behalf of the Board, we are delighted to have Natalie as our next Executve Director,” said Brad Gluckstein, Chairman and CEO. “Her experience and passion for our mission and programs will help Conga Kids continue to serve over 10,000 children across California school districts.”
Ms. Marrero is a high achieving leader with extensive experience in the dance world. As the Executive Director of Viver Brasil Dance Company she significantly increased organizational capacity, while overseeing a strategic rebranding and increasing contributed income. Her comprehensive leadership and fundraising experience as well as dance/urban policy background make her an outstanding advocate for the organization.
“It is such a privilege to partner with the Board and staff of Conga Kids,” said Ms. Marrero. “I am excited and humbled to join an organization that powerfully impacts our youth, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to build upon the well-respected programming offered.”
Conga Kids entered its search seeking a strategic executive to lead the organization beyond its founding and initial success. The organization serves predominantly Hispanic and African American students in historically disadvantaged areas that often fall behind in arts curriculum, promoting interpersonal communication skills, respect, teamwork, confidence, and leadership. Their innovative program continues to grow, reaching 97 schools in 8 school districts for the 2018/19 school year.
The Board and community are ecstatic to welcome Ms. Marrero and look forward to continuing the exciting trajectory of the organization.
