Mr. Johnson is a multidimensional C-level executive who brings expertise in fundraising, financial acumen and marketing skills.

“With Chris’ prior experience as CEO of larger organizations, we believe Chris will take the organization to the next level,” said Board President Leslie Frost. “We look forward to the future of Mending Kids and continuing to grow our programs and reach more children.”

The Board sought an individual with skills in fundraising, staff management and financial literacy.

“I have a personal connection with Mending Kids’ mission and knew this was the next step in my career,” said Mr. Johnson. “Having spent years working with the American Red Cross, both domestically and internationally, I know first-hand some of the challenges they face, and look forward to this new challenge.”

Envision Consulting conducted the national Executive Director search. Hundreds applied with a variety of backgrounds in development and international work.

Principal Julie Ha Truong said, “Chris’ experience in health-oriented and international organization is a tremendous asset to Mending Kids, as well as the children they serve. We are honored to be part of the leadership transition for this outstanding organization.”
