Los Angeles, CA – The Writers Guild Foundation, a nonprofit that preserves and promotes the history and craft of writing for the screen, has announced its selection of Lawrence Silveira as its new Development Manager.
Mr. Silveira has worked for several years in the nonprofit arena in both Chicago and Los Angeles, most recently as the Development Coordinator for the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association.
"From programs that benefit emerging screenwriters to preserving the history of writing for the screen, the Writers Guild Foundation does some pretty awesome work,” said Mr. Silveira, “I am so incredibly thrilled to be joining their team as the new Development Manager. I can't wait to get started meeting with donors and working on all of the WGF's exciting fundraising initiatives."
Among other responsibilities, Mr. Silveira will be tasked with setting and guiding the strategy for all fundraising.
The appointment of Silveira follows a thorough recruitment process overseen by The Writers Guild Foundation in partnership with Envision Consulting—a minority-owned firm with offices in New York and Los Angeles, specializing in executive search, organizational strategy, merger exploration and executive leadership transitions.
