Discovery Cube Los Angeles Welcomes VP of Development, Laura Zachar

Los Angeles, CA – Laura Zachar has joined Discovery Cube Los Angeles as Vice President of Development. For 35 years, the Discovery Cube has been working to make a positive difference across Southern California through hands-on science education for educators, their students and more at its original center in Orange County, as well as its newer Los Angeles campus. The Discovery Cube’s core initiatives aim to further the impact of science education and includes STEM proficiency, early childhood education, healthy living, and environmental stewardship.
In her new role, Zachar will lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy for Discovery Cube Los Angeles.
"I am thrilled to join the Discovery Cube! I feel like it's LA's best kept secret and I'm excited to open the possibilities to the LA community," said Zachar, who has spent 16 years advocating for young people and educational opportunities, including 10 years as an executive leader in the elementary school space. Zachar most recently served as the chief fundraiser for Reading Partners in Los Angeles.
The appointment of Zachar follows a thorough recruitment process overseen by The Discovery Cube in partnership with Envision Consulting—a nonprofit consulting firm with offices in New York and Los Angeles, specializing in executive search, organizational strategy, merger exploration and executive leadership transitions.
