Los Angeles, CA – Conga Kids, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit offering an arts in education program through partner-dance to promote social and emotional wellness, is proud to announce the appointment of Natalie Marrero as their incoming Executive Director.
“On behalf of the Board, we are delighted to have Natalie as our next Executve Director,” said Brad Gluckstein, Chairman and CEO. “Her experience and passion for our mission and programs will help Conga Kids continue to serve over 10,000 children across California school districts.”
Ms. Marrero is a high achieving leader with extensive experience in the dance world. As the Executive Director of Viver Brasil Dance Company she significantly increased organizational capacity, while overseeing a strategic rebranding and increasing contributed income. Her comprehensive leadership and fundraising experience as well as dance/urban policy background make her an outstanding advocate for the organization.

Conga Kids entered its search seeking a strategic executive to lead the organization beyond its founding and initial success. The organization serves predominantly Hispanic and African American students in historically disadvantaged areas that often fall behind in arts curriculum, promoting interpersonal communication skills, respect, teamwork, confidence, and leadership. Their innovative program continues to grow, reaching 97 schools in 8 school districts for the 2018/19 school year.
