EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
ABOUT CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY SOUTH BAY
For 35 years, Cancer Support Community South Bay (CSC South Bay) has provided psychosocial and emotional support to over 24,000 cancer patients and their loved ones. With any cancer diagnosis comes feelings of hopelessness and social isolation, which is why the mission of CSC South Bay is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community so that no one faces cancer alone. CSC South Bay offers over 200 programs, services, classes, and workshops per month, ALL completely free of charge. This support is integral to cancer patients in active treatment, those returning to wellness post-treatment, and long-term survivors, as well as their family members, caregivers, and other loved ones.
With a deep commitment to helping individuals and families cope with a cancer diagnosis, Cancer Support Community South Bay is on a high growth trajectory, both in the number of people served and the depth to which they are impacted by the agency's various support services. Based in Torrance, CSC serves participants living in the South Bay, Long Beach, and Orange County who seek its services, and aspires to strengthen community collaborations to reach the underserved, particularly those wherein socio-economic factors inhibit healing and wellness.
