Children’s Bureau Welcomes New
Chief Development Officer, Monica Lee Copeland
Los Angeles, CA – Children’s Bureau is pleased to announce the appointment of Monica Lee Copeland as its new Chief Development Officer (CDO). Copeland will serve as the leader of the organization’s resource and relationship development strategy.
A nonprofit leader in how to prevent child abuse and reduce its devastating impact, Children’s Bureau serves 39,400 children and their parents each year in Southern California through prevention programs; foster care, adoption and related services; mental health services to children and families; and state-wide training to family-serving organizations. The agency’s advocacy efforts and broader community impact initiatives inspire movement in the child well-being arena on local, state and national levels.
Copeland brings over 25 years of experience in business management, marketing, and fund development, securing over $250 million in philanthropic revenue and billions of dollars for private equity endeavors. Before joining Children's Bureau, Copeland served as the CDO for Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley and the Cerritos College Foundation, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Stone Ally, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MLC & Company where she led fundraising initiatives for KidSave International, the Pasadena Pops Orchestra, and Agape International, among others.
