A Place Called Home Welcomes Josh Hertz as Chief Development Officer
Los Angeles, CA — October 29, 2025 — A Place Called Home (APCH) is proud to announce Josh Hertz as its new Chief Development Officer. In this key leadership role, Josh will oversee fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and development operations to advance APCH’s mission of providing South Central youth and families with the tools, programs, and opportunities they need to thrive.
“We are thrilled to welcome Josh Hertz to the Executive Team at A Place Called Home during a pivotal moment in our growth,” said Noryma Cabot, Chief Executive Officer. “His experience and vision will strengthen our development strategy and help ensure that our mission continues to thrive for generations to come.”
A lifelong resident of Southern California, Josh has spent many years serving the homeless services sector; first as an elected member of his local Neighborhood Council, then as an organizing board member of the SELAH Homeless Services Coalition, and later as the head of Development for The People Concern, one of the largest service providers in Los Angeles County. His deep understanding of community-based work and commitment to equitable access to opportunity make him a powerful addition to the APCH leadership team.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join APCH,” said Josh. “I’m thrilled to be working for an organization that prioritizes young people and the futures they deserve. I hope that as we grow, all of Los Angeles will see this wonderful place as a natural partner in ensuring that success is not determined by your zip code.”
A devoted father and husband, Josh brings not only professional expertise but also a personal dedication to helping Los Angeles families and youth build pathways to a brighter future. His leadership will be instrumental as APCH expands its programs, partnerships, and community reach in the years ahead.
