Envision Consulting, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit consulting firm, concluded the Executive Director search for Pasadena Media and placed George Falardeau in the position.
Mr. Falardeau, an experienced senior operations management executive, has an impressive list of accomplishments including achieving $1.4M profit through the purchase and sale of a historic building, developed 15-year strategic master plan and managed $25M operating and capital plan. Previously, Mr. Falardeau worked for the Art Center College of Design where he was responsible for land acquisition, administration, campus business operations and auxiliary services.
“We’re excited to bring George on as our new Executive Director,” says Board Chair Gail Schaper-Gordon. “His passion for the Pasadena community and experience as a television production executive is the perfect combination for Pasadena Media to thrive and captivate younger audiences.”
Pasadena Media serves as the umbrella organization for the City’s public, education and government cable channels. The media outlet offers the community inspired dialogue, fostered freedom of expression and bridges diverse communities. Additionally, they operate as a media training center and television studio for students and adults who want to learn more about production.
“After my 10+ hiatus from production and television, I knew it was time to come back to the folder,” says Mr. Falardeau. “I’m ready to be fully immersed in Pasadena Media and bring new and creative ideas to the table.”
Envision Consulting conducted the national search for the organization’s next Executive Director. After a series of phone screenings and in-person interviews with a variety of entertainment industry and production executive candidates, Envision selected five qualified candidates for the search committee to choose from.
“We received a lot of interest in the position and hundreds of applicants,” comments Partner Matt Kamin. “George is a great addition to the organization and will make an immediate positive impact in the Pasadena community.”
